Businesses are not expected to be fraudulent identity documents. Program representatives will come, help educate employers and reframe the program based on their specific needs. If the IMAGE program develops, it will continue to highlight the benefits to employers. The program will develop and refine on the basis of the feedback direction. The hope is that the number of companies that will become partners will increase enormously. IMAGE members must participate in E-Verify, an internet system that compares an employee`s Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, with records from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Social Security, to confirm the authorization. For more information on Form I-9, visit I-9 Central, a website designed to improve accessibility and ease of use.

The website provides employees and employers with an online site to keep them informed of the information needed to correctly complete Form I-9. ICE creates a culture of compliance by building cooperative relationships with employers that strengthen recruitment practices and encourage respect for employers to ensure legitimate staff. If employers join IMAGE, ICE will more effectively focus on unscrupulous employers and monstrous violations of our country`s immigration laws. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement(ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) conduct government-employer contacts (IMAGE program) as part of the ICE agreement to maintain a culture of compliance and accountability. To address this problem, the program organizes image forums in selected cities across the country. Finally, more than 100 companies participated in an image forum in Memphis, Tennessee. In Detroit, more than 60 companies went out to learn about the agency`s program. The forums, jointly organized with USCIS and the Department of Justice, aim not only to educate ICE partners about IMAGE, but also to become the first step in which employers become official partners in the program.

Participation in the IMAGE program is not limited to a part of the country or the size of the company. In 2011, seven major U.S. employers, including Best Western International, Chick-fil-A, Inc., Hyatt, Kelly Services, Lexmark, Smoothie King and Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America, agreed to collaborate with IMAGE. Undocumented workers provide jobs through fraudulent means such as submitting false documents, filling out fraudulent benefit claims and stealing a person`s identity. In Order to combat illegal work and reduce vulnerabilities that help illegal aliens find employment, ICE announced the “Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers” (IMAGE) program in July 2006. This program helps employers develop safer and more stable workers. It also encourages fraudulent awareness of documents through education and training. Becoming a member of the ICE Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers is easier than ever.

“What [employers] receive from participation in the program is the ability to ensure that they have a compliant workforce and good business practices that can help protect them from accountability,” said Carmin DeRose, head of the IMAGE Program Unit. “The image program works best if we become partners with companies that really want to participate.” ICE has streamlined the IMAGE certification process.
