Preparations are underway for our Eco-apple All Networks meeting on Thursday, November 29. Please plan to join us, and extend the invitation to any other growers you know who may be interested.

Each year we hold this meeting to give you an opportunity provide us with feedback about your experiences with the Eco-Apple Project and to discuss the current and future problems/opportunities facing apple production in the Midwest. The other objective of this meeting is to brainstorm with you about the future direction of the Eco-Apple pro-ject and how we can work together to achieve the desired outcomes.

As in years past, we intend to open the meeting with reports from the various networks and hear from the growers what has worked well and what could use some kind attention in the coming year.

After everyone has had a chance to talk, we move to agenda items. If you have agenda items to share, please let us know. Some of the things we could discuss include the future of the conference calls, updates on field research, campus discussions on extreme weather events, Farm-to-School marketing. I hope we can hear from our new fruit entomologist, Christelle Guegot.

When: Thursday, November 29th
Time: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Where: DATCP’s main conference room, 2811 Agriculture Drive, Madison
Food: Continental Breakfast and Lunch will be provided

Please RSVP to Michelle by Monday, November 26 if you are able to attend (608-262-7135 or mmmille6@wisc.edu).

If your schedule does not allow you to commit to coming to the meeting until that morning — please just show up — we would like to see you!!

We look forward to catching up.
